How to disconnect or 'Log Out' from a Viewer session?

Click "Cancel" button if host desktop is not displayed. If it is, then use the standard close icon on the top right hand corner of the window (X) or use "Exit" within the main menu item "File".

How to make the Viewer fit the whole screen without scrolling?

Go to the main menu "View" and select the option "Scale to fit". This will fit the remote computer's desktop within the Viewer's window.

My screen gets corrupted in the middle of a Viewer session. What do I do?

Click "Refresh" menu option in the main menu.

My host computer is not available in the list of computers available to connect. Why?

If you have recently exited from a Viewer session, the host connected may be unavailable for about 30 seconds. Try connecting the Remote Access Viewer after sometime.

Sometimes on Remote Access Viewer side, the progress bar hangs or errors out. Why?

Due to Network/Internet connectivity issues, connections fail. Cancel the session and try again.

Why do I get this message 'Unknown Authentication Scheme' while trying to connect to my RemotePC Host through RemotePC Viewer?

This may happen if the version of RemotePC Host in use is higher than the RemotePC Viewer version. Please upgrade your RemotePC Viewer to the latest.

Some times I get a "File Transfer permission denied: disabled or unknown user version incompatibility" while using the `File Transfer' option in the Remote Access Viewer application. Why is this happening?

You would get this message while using the ‘File Transfer’ option during a remote session, if the ‘Host’ computer gets logged off or is locked. In this case, login to the ‘Host’ computer and then try the ‘File Transfer’ option. However, this will not work if the ‘Host’ computer is logged off or locked.

The same message appears if you close the ‘Remote Access Host’ tray icon, but the application continues to run in the background and attempts transfering data using the ‘File Transfer’ option. In this case, double-click on the ‘Remote Access Host’ desktop icon so that the tray icon appears on the system tray. Then, use the ‘File Transfer’ option to transfer files.

Can I access the host computer using a web browser?

You can connect to your remote computer using any web browser. Log on to your account from the RemotePC website. You will see a list of all the available hosts (remote computers) in your account. Select the host you wish to access and enter the Host Key to access it.
