Remote Control is the ability to log into a network from any location, using an internet-enabled computer.

The local computer has complete access to the resources of the remote machine. You can work on all the resources including documents, programs, applications, as though you were in front of the remote computer. On the other hand, Remote Access provides partial access to the resources on the remote computer.

Due to its high bandwidth requirements, Remote Control is generally slower than Remote Access, which provides access to emails/calendar/task list and related items.
