    How do I connect to a remote computer from my device?

    To connect to a remote computer,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. All the computers configured for your account appears categorized as 'Online', 'In Session' and 'Offline'.
    3. Select the online computer that you wish to access, enter the 'Personal Key', and tap 'OK'.

    Remote access to the computer is established.

    Can I instantly connect to any remote computer from my device?

    Yes, you can instantly connect to any remote computer from your mobile device, given that the computer has an active Internet connection and the RemotePC application installed on it.

    To start an instant remote session,

    1. Generate Instant Access ID on the remote computer you wish to get connected to.
    2. On your mobile device, launch the RemotePC application.
    3. Go to the 'Connect using One-Time ID' tab, enter the 'Partner's Access ID' and 'Key' generated on the remote computer.
    4. Tap 'Connect'.

    An instant remote access to the computer is established.

    What do the tabs Online, In Session, and Offline signify?

    Once you launch the RemotePC app and login to your account, a list of computers configured to your account appears. There are three tabs that signify the current status of your configured computers.

    Online – Displays the list of computers that are ready for remote session.

    In Session – Displays the list of computers that are in an active remote session.

    Offline - Displays the list of computers that either do not have any active Internet connection or the remote access configuration has been disabled on it.

    How do I send keyboard inputs?

    To send keyboard inputs,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Connect to an online remote computer, and establish connection.
    3. Tap Action and the on-screen keyboard appears. Use the on-screen keyboard to type without an actual keyboard on your remote computer.

    You can also use the Ctrl, Shift, Alt buttons and a special functions keyboard Action when you access your remote PC from your mobile.

    Is it possible to toggle from touch to mouse interactions while accessing my remote computer from mobile?

    Touch interactions are activated by default during a remote session. Tap toch to view to toggle between 'Touch' and 'Mouse' interactions.

    Can I lock the remote computer screen from my mobile device?

    Yes, you can lock the remote computer screen from your mobile device during a remote session.

    To lock instantly,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Connect to an online remote computer, and establish connection.
    3. Tap Action.
    4. Tap 'Lock computer'.


    To lock on session end,
    1. Tap Setting in Android / Action in iOS.
    2. Tap 'Lock on session end' to lock the partner computer screen as soon as the remote session ends.

    How can I lock the remote computer using Ctrl-Alt-Del from my mobile device?

    To lock your remote computer (Windows) using your mobile device,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Connect to an online remote computer, and establish connection.
    3. Tap Action.
    4. Tap 'Ctrl+Alt+Del'. The options to remotely lock the remote computer, or start the task manager, etc. options are available.
    In Mac, the option to 'Force Quit' will appear.

    Can I adjust the screen resolution of my device?

    Yes, you can change and adjust the screen resolution of your device.

    To change screen resolution,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Tap Setting.
    3. Tap 'Resolution', and choose the screen resolution which you wish to set.

    How do I right-click on my remote computer screen?

    To right-click on your remote computer screen while accessing from your mobile device, long press on the location where you want to right click.

    Can I chat during a remote session?

    Yes, you can chat with your colleague at the remote end during a remote session.

    To chat,

    1. Establish connection with an online computer.
    2. Click Action.
    3. In the menu that appears, click 'Chat'.
    4. The Chat screen appears. Enter your message in the 'Type Message' field and click 'Send'.

    Note: The conversation between the local and remote computer is displayed in 'Your Conversation' / 'Your chat conversation' field.

    How do I end an ongoing remote session?

    To end an ongoing remote session,

    1. Tap Delete.
    2. In the confirmation popup that appears, tap 'Yes'.

    Are there any shortcuts to use the RemotePC app?

    Yes, there are some handy hints that you can choose to easily use the RemotePC app.

    To view these hints,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Tap .
    3. Tap 'Instructions' to view the hint screen.

    What are the device specifications for installing the RemotePC app on my mobile?

    The RemotePC app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices. Install the app on iOS device (version 11.0 or higher), and on Android device (version 4.0 or higher).

    Is it possible to print documents on my remote computer during a session?

    Yes, you can print documents and images that are on your remote computer while accessing it from your mobile device.

    To print,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Connect to an online remote computer, and establish connection.
    3. Select the file on the remote computer that you wish to print.
    4. Open the document and use Print command (or Ctrl+P).
    5. Select the virtual 'RemotePC Printer' in the window and tap 'Print'.
    6. From the print window, choose a printer by tapping 'Printer' for iOS / 'Select a printer' for Android.
    7. Modify the settings for number of copies to be printed, paper size, orientation etc.
    8. Tap 'Print' for iOS / Action for Android, to print the document.

    During a remote session can I move the tabs open in the remote computer?

    Yes, you can move the tabs opened in the remote computer during a remote session. When the connection is established, by default 'Mouse interactions' will be activated. Tap toch to view to switch to 'Touch interactions' and move the required tab on the remote computer.

    Is it possible to make notes on my remote computer screen?

    Yes, you can add Sticky Notes on your remote computer during a remote session.

    To add a sticky note,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Connect to an online remote computer, and establish connection.
    3. Tap Action.
    4. Tap 'Sticky Note'.

    Note: You can save and view the same after the remote session ends, in an offline mode.

    If my remote computer has multiple monitors, is it possible to switch between them from my mobile device?

    Yes, you can toggle between the multiple screens of your remote computer while accessing it remotely from your mobile device.

    To switch monitors,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Connect to an online remote computer, and establish connection.
    3. Tap to switch from primary to secondary monitor and vice versa.

    How can I view session info?

    To view session info,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Connect to an online remote computer, and establish connection.
    3. Tap Setting.
    4. Tap 'Show session info'.

    You can view the version, connection type and session duration details here.

    How can I block remote input?

    To block remote input,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Connect to an online remote computer, and establish connection.
    3. Tap Action.
    4. Tap 'Block Remote Input'.

    To allow remote input, tap Action and then tap 'Allow Remote Input'.

    What is the benefit of enabling LAN?

    On enabling local area network (LAN) the performance of the session screen will be faster, provided you are on the same network.

    To enable LAN,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Tap Setting.
    3. Tap 'Enable LAN'.

    Can I ensure my credentials are auto-saved?

    Yes. On enabling, RemotePC can save your email address as well as Personal Key to ensure faster logins.

    To enable,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Tap Setting.
    3. Tap the 'Remember me' slider button. Your email address will be shown every time in the email field in the 'Login' screen.
    4. Tap the 'Remember Personal Key' slider button to save your Key.

    You can undo this by again tapping the respective slider buttons.

    Can I rename or remove computers from my account?

    Yes, you can rename or remove computers from your account.

    To rename,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Tap and hold the remote computer that you want to rename.
    3. Tap 'Rename'.
    4. Enter the new name and tap ‘Rename’.

    To remove,

    1. Launch the RemotePC application and log in.
    2. Tap and hold the remote computer that you want to remove.
    3. Tap 'Remove'.
    4. In the pop up that appears, tap 'OK'.

    What is Personal Key?

    Personal Key is a password set by you and acts as your computer's unique access code. It is stored only on your machine and not on the RemotePC servers.

    Note: Personal key is only available to Enterprise users.

    What is Wake-on-LAN (WOL) in RemotePC?

    Wake-on-LAN in RemotePC lets you wake up your offline remote computers to establish a connection from anywhere. Enable WOL in the RemotePC application and turn on an offline remote computer using any of the following options:

    • Through Local Network
    • Through a Public IP
